Summer, sunshine and cool drinks go hand in hand. We present delicious and refreshing summer drinks that also improve your health because they help detoxify and create a basic environment in the body.

Our body is loaded daily with environmental toxins, pollutants or metabolic deposits, whether they come from unhealthy foods, harmful cosmetics and care products or polluted air. All these factors cause our body’s systems to function less effectively and we feel slower and tired.
However, much can be done to support detoxification of the body and to stay fit and alert for a long time. The most important thing in detoxification is the proper functioning of organs such as the intestines, liver, kidneys and skin.
Medicinal plants and foods that contain nutrients that enhance their functioning interest us and in summer we can take it in the form of a refreshing drink.
In this article we show you 5 detox drinks to improve the functioning of the organs. If, after taking them you begin to notice that you feel much better, you can try to perform a complete detox of a week (the online course Detox Plan in 7 days of the Cuerpomente School will give you the keys you need).
REFRESHING AND DETOXIFYING DRINKS
We want to provide you with refreshing drinks to support detoxification on a daily basis. You can enjoy them during an intensive detox cure or simply whenever you feel like it.
1. REFRESHING AND PURIFYING MINT DRINK
Mint can be found in many soft drinks and fresh cocktails, especially in summer. But instead of a classic “mint julep” or mojito prepared with alcohol, you can also have a non-alcoholic mint drink.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 cups organic fresh mint
- 1/2 cup sparkling water
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 3-4 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Stevia, xylitol or erythritol (optional)
Elaboration:
- Wash the mint and put it in a kitchen mixer with half a cup of water.
- Add a teaspoon of cumin powder and a pinch of crystal salt and three or four teaspoons of fresh lemon juice.
- Mix all the ingredients well until you get a homogeneous paste without fibers. Now you can drink it diluted with fresh water in a ratio of 1: 3.
- If you like it a little sweeter, add a little stevia, xylitol or erythritol. If necessary, you can filter the drink through a strainer.
2. WATERMELON AND CUCUMBER DETOXIFYING SMOOTHIE
Cucumbers contain large amounts of silicon, which not only promotes bone growth and strengthens connective tissue, but is also a very effective detoxifying agent and, above all, protects against aluminum toxicity.
Poisoning from aluminum (a metal found from deodorants, vaccines, and other sources) has been linked to the onset of neurological disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease.
Watermelons are very nutritious and refreshing in summer. Combine these two great foods into a tasty and healthy smoothie.
Ingredients:
- 1 organic cucumber, unpeeled
- 3/4 watermelon
Elaboration:
- Put the cucumber cut into slices or cubes with three-quarters of the watermelon in a blender.
- After mixing, let the smoothie cool in the fridge or serve with ice cubes.
3. DETOXIFYING LEMONADE
Lemon water helps detoxify the liver and stimulates digestion.
Ingredients:
- 1 large glass of fresh water
- the juice of half a lemon or organic lime
- Some stevia or xylitol (optional)
Elaboration:
- Pour the freshly squeezed juice of half a lemon or lime into a large glass of water. (You can add more if you want).
- Add the sweetener if desired and drink the freshly prepared lemonade.
4. SUMMER DETOXIFYING JUICE
Squeeze the following ingredients into a cold-pressed blender.
Ingredients:
- 4 apples
- 2 small cucumbers
- 1 celery stalk
- 6 cabbage leaves
- 1/2 romaine lettuce
- 1 piece of fresh ginger (optional)
- Juice of half a lemon squeezed
Elaboration:
- Pass all the ingredients of the recipe through your blender, preferably cold pressed.
- Add the lemon juice to the resulting juice, stir the mixture well. Enjoy the detoxifying, nourishing and at the same time refreshing power of this juice.
5. WATER, THE NUMBER ONE DETOX DRINK
Juices, smoothies and cold infusions are refreshing and detoxifying, but the more often you think about drinking, the better for you.
After all, the main task of water is to remove waste products and pollutants from our body.
If you drink enough water, detoxification is quick and complete, the cells are well supplied with water, and we feel young, productive, and flexible. So do not hesitate, cool off in a healthy way and stay in shape
