People who do not tolerate caffeine well but who are looking for an effect similar to caffeine to start the day with energy can turn to natural drinks with fewer side effects.

Almost as if on autopilot, many people make themselves a cup of coffee first thing in the morning hoping it will provide them with an extra dose of mental and physical agility.
In most cases the effect is positive, but some people may react with discomfort such as nervousness, palpitations and anxiety. On the other hand, people who regularly drink coffee may suffer a headache when they miss the dose. There are healthier alternatives, without side effects.
CAFFEINE-FREE STIMULANT ALTERNATIVES
1. CHICORY ROOT “COFFEE”
Chicory root coffee is one of the best ways to mimic the taste and ritual of coffee brewing. The roasted root gives off an aroma very similar to that of coffee.
Although the drink does not have the same stimulating effect on a biochemical level, the preparation ritual helps many people open tired eyelids.
Chicory root contains several types of fibers with a very positive action on digestion and blood glucose levels.
To prepare the powder, simply dissolve it in hot water and add vegetable milk or sweeten as desired.
2. CAROB
Carob, fruit of the carob tree, is best known for its use as an alternative to chocolate. The tree has been cultivated for thousands of years because it is very nutritious: the fruit contains protein, B vitamins, carbohydrates and various minerals.
In addition, carob contains pinitol, a substance with an effect similar to insulin and that, therefore, indicates it in the natural control of blood sugar levels.
Since carob is sweeter than cocoa, you can use it to prepare smoothies or hot “chocolate” without adding another sweetener.
3. MACA
Maca is an effective means of stimulating the adrenal glands, which secrete the stimulant cortisol, and also improve mental focus and reduce fatigue.
You can add a few tablespoons of maca to smoothies or dilute it in vegetable milk to start the day decaffeinated and wide awake.
4. MINT INFUSION
Drinking mint infusion makes you feel refreshed. Therefore, it is not surprising that studies show that peppermint is useful for increasing exercise performance and increasing the concentration of oxygen in the brain.
Since mint grows incredibly fast, you can grow it yourself and always have it fresh on hand. Simply let the fresh or dried leaves be infused in hot water for a few minutes and enjoy a delicious drink.
5. GINSENG
If you look at the ingredients of popular energy drinks, chances are ginseng is among them. In traditional Chinese medicine, ginseng is used as a strengthening agent because it is said to stimulate the five internal organs (spleen, lungs, heart, liver, and kidneys) and sharpen the mind.
Its active ingredients justify that it is used to improve memory and endurance, as well as to increase concentration. Try ginseng as an infusion or take it in capsule form to benefit from its effects.
6. RHODIOLA
Rhodiola root is a perennial flowering plant that is often used to increase energy and resilience in the face of stress. Rhodiola root is also said to improve attention and memory.
According to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health in the United States, there is evidence that rhodiola root improves physical performance and may reduce mental fatigue.
It is most often (and more easily) consumed as a dietary supplement, but you can make yourself a drink by dissolving a few drops of tincture in a glass of water.
7. AND WATER
As everyone knows, water is great for the body and can even have an energizing effect, as dehydration makes you tired.
Instead of coffee, simply drink warm or cold water in the morning, best seasoned with a splash of lemon or berries for more flavor.
Starting the day well with a large glass of water is an especially recommended idea for people who find it difficult to drink.
During the course of the day, you can also set a goal for the water you need to drink, which you have to meet to the letter.
The needs are individual and depend on physical activity and the local climate, but the general advice is to drink about 8 glasses a day.
